Halden lies in walking distance to the border of Sweden, and Fredriksten fortress is Norway`s largest, most important and most venerable border fortress which is majestically located above Halden. It offers a fantastic view of the town and the fjord, and far into what once was enemy territory.
Fredrikstad and its old town "Gamlebyen" has been since 1640 a bustling shopping area and still is a real treasure. Wooden well-preserved buildings, along cobbled streets, blend of everyday life, art, history, quaint shops, museums, galleries, theatre, and charming cafés, all to be explored in this historical parts of East Norway.
For people that just moved to Norway and are new to the Norwegian language and culture, and for people that have already been living in Norway for a while and/ or know some Norwegian language.
If you have learnt some Norwegian in your home country and would like to improve your skills in an authentic environment in company of 5 others (max.). We keep our groups small because because we truly care about your improvement and learning process.
New 2 Norway's Explore Language Package (
ELP ) in Halden and Fredrikstad, (Østfold) Viken County, has been designed as an intensive language training where you dive into Norwegian Language, Traditions, and Culture.
You will have 20 (30) lessons over 5 days. The lessons last 45 min, but this does not mean you will be in front of the whiteboard memorizing words all day long. Not at all!
Our lessons combine many activities, which may include outdoor activities, special events, socializing with your classmates and locals, exploring the city, conversation classes and of course (because it is very important), study time.
What you can expect is not traditional class but a true immersive experience.
Our courses in Halden & Fredrikstad start on Wednesday and run for 5 days until Tuesday, giving you a break of 2 days in between (Saturday & Sunday), or you might choose to go from Monday to Friday, it is always an option.

are accredited and approved by HK-Dir (an executive agency for the Ministry of Education and Research) as provider of Norwegian language studies where our guidelines follow Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). First to sign up decide the level. Minimum 3 and max 6 persons per group/ level. If only 2 participants have signed up one month before start, then the price is as for couples or we reduce the number of lessons.
